The electronic seal certificate is a new figure introduced by Regulation eIDAS, and from a technical point of view similar to an electronic signature certificate, but it is designed exclusively for use by a legal person.

The qualified electronic seal gives documents to which is affixed the legal presumption of integrity and authenticity of data origin, throughout the European Union.

Simply put, there is a clear separation between electronic signatures which are now exclusively aimed at individuals (individuals), while the electronic seal is intended to organizations (legal persons).
