TRACES is the European Commission online platform for animal and plant health certification necessary for the import of animals, products of animal origin, food and feed of non-animal origin and plants to the European Union, and intra-EU trade and EU exports of animals and certain products of animal origin.
The challenge:
certify global import/export to and from the European Union, in accordance with the EIDA Regulation, in order to optimise the digital onboarding of exporting/importing entities via the European Commission online platform for health and phytosanitary certification– Traces NT.
The Solution:
Emission from Qualified electronic seals for each of the importing/exporting entities through the DigitalSign Partner Portal, in which organizations initiate the onboarding process by filling in an application, providing four validation methods: Video call, Portability of another QTSP, Signature with qualified digital certificate, document validation by post.
The Result:
Since the beginning of the project in 2022, about 302 organizations have successfully carried out the DigitalSign onboarding process, opting for the most convenient validation method for their reality, which allowed them to obtain eSEALs Qualified quickly and simply, those certificates issued by DigitalSign, in accordance with the EIDAS Regulation, thus being able to certify qualifiedly, on time and anywhere, critical documents on the TRACES NT platform.
