20 Years
DigitalSign celebrated its 20th anniversary on October 9, at an event at the Belém Cultural Center in Lisbon, and CNN Portugal was present to follow the date. In the report, the company took stock of the route and, in addition, presented the Order of Doctors as a new client. Finally, he spoke about the challenges that artificial intelligence brings to companies.
The guest received DigiX, a humanoid robot who performed as "the voice of DigitalSign service". During the event, he talked to the present and, at the same time, clarified doubts about the company and its solutions.
Although it was founded in Guimarães, DigitalSign now integrates the main European trusted service groups. "It is a pride, after 20 years, to be able to celebrate these steps we have taken, safe, but with determination and always with innovation," said Fernando Moreira, CEO of DigitalSign.
Asked about how a Portuguese company conquers customers such as the European Commission, Fernando Moreira pointed to work, humility and continuous innovation. In addition, he explained that the company was creating new services step by step and sought out these customers with ambition. He also recognized that being born in a smaller town, far from the big centers, was a challenge at first. However, DigitalSign is recognized today in several countries.
The highlight of the celebration was the partnership with the Order of Doctors, which brings advantages to doctors and users. On the one hand, for the medical community, prescriptions become easier, more intuitive and faster. On the other hand, for users, a recipe signed in Portugal can be lifted in any country in the European Union.
The report also addressed artificial intelligence. For DigitalSign, companies will face increasing security challenges, as the various recent incidents show. Therefore, the trusted services sector exists precisely to bring trust and security to this area, where the company is initiating development. The presence of DigiX in the event was, moreover, a practical example of the company's bet on safe interaction between people and artificial intelligence.
