Attribute Tests

DigitalSign was present at the Global Digital Collaboration Conference 2026 (GDC26) in Geneva, represented by Miguel Cruz, Jorge Silva and Serafim Gomes. In addition, the conference brought together international leaders from governments, industry, standardisation bodies and technological communities to discuss the future of digital identity and trust.
Thus, the work of the conference focused mainly on developments that are shaping the global digital ecosystem. Among the themes highlighted were: EUDI Wallets, European Business Wallet, organisational identity, verifiable credentials, interoperability and cross-border trust infrastructures.
In fact, the debates have left a clear message: the future of digital identity goes far beyond proving who someone is. Therefore, citizens and organizations will need to demonstrate reliable attributes safely — professional duties, qualifications, licences and powers of representation.
This development is also particularly relevant for DigitalSign. As Qualified Trust Services Provider, accredited under the eIDAS Regulation, the company has recently obtained certification to issue Attribute Qualified Electronic Attribute Tests (QEAA).
Thus, this certification strengthens DigitalSign's ability to actively contribute to the new European digital identity ecosystem, allowing it to issue attributes with legal value that can be presented through European digital identity portfolios.
In addition, GDC26 reinforced that the successful adoption will depend on effective collaboration between qualified issuers, authentic sources, digital portfolio providers, confident entities, public authorities and companies. On the other hand, interoperability cannot remain only in standards and specifications: it must be tested and demonstrated through real use cases.
Finally, for DigitalSign, participation in the conference was an opportunity to share knowledge, strengthen relationships and explore new partnerships.
